Videos descriptions#What are elastomers ?
Elastomers are polymers which displays Viscoelasticity properties, they have a larger elastic deformation domain than other polymers, because they are lightly-cross linked.
Incompressible or near-incompressible elastomers can be modeled with an Hyperelastic model.
Often elastomers are termosets, and they have high elongation to break.
Examples : o-rings, rubbers, neoprene, silicon polymers (usually), nitrile gloves
bonus
nitrile, le SBR, l’urethane ou de butyle sont sensiblement plus efficaces que le PMMA, le polyethylene ou le polypropylene.
